Homes Needed
There is a special group of kitties who are in need of adoption. They may be senior citizens, carry the Feline AIDS virus, test positive for Feline Leukemia , or need additional medical support during their lifetime due to an existing disease. Cats with special needs deserve love and homes, too. Most are adoring and completely unaware they have any condition which some might think makes them "imperfect." They are perfect in their own way. Please take some time to visit with them on this page and consider giving one or more a loving home. You may call 770-664-4355 to inquire or email at citcrescue@yahoo.com..
FELINE AIDS Positive
Many cat lovers are unaware of what a wonderful and normal quality of life a cat with Feline AIDS can have. A complete, high quality and well- balanced diet, twice yearly vet exam, and close monitoring to watch for any early signs of sickness is all it takes to care for an AIDS positive cat. For more information about the disease and living with an AIDS positive cat go to www.catchat.org.
The following kitties all have the AIDS virus but are also healthy and happy and looking forward to a long life as someone's special feline friend. Their stories can be seen under "Available Cats".

Dino- adopted
To a wonderful little girl and her family
I'm a young kitty who was found outside, rescued and brought to safety. But they couldn't save me from the AIDS virus which I probably got from Mom. Doesn't matter because I play and romp and kiss and hug just like any other kitty. I am super friendly and everyone instantly falls in love with me. Just part of the overall charm that is me, lovable me, looking for lovable you.

McKenna
My beautiful calico colors are hard to miss. Even though my beginning was humble, I can have a bright future with your help. Mom passed the AIDS virus on to me. Oh well - I feel great and am confident that someone who sees me and hears my story will come forward to take me home. I may be a little shy right now but I am comfortale with other kitties and like to be petted and love kitty treats. Little things mean a lot when you are a little kid trying to make your way in the world.

Louie
Hi, I'm Louie and I am AIDS positive. I'm really very affectionate and love to have attention and my share of petting and hugging. I have been around a while looking for a home. Guess it's just not my time yet. Laps are my favorite destination. Do you have one that I could visit?
Howard
I am just a big and lovable guy. I talk a lot and I am a curious kitty who likes to explore my surroundings. I meet the volunteers at the door with a happy meow. I hope my new home is filled with happy people who are looking for a happy family cat to love forever.
Cookies
I am a loving and sweet young gal who adores being picked up and kissed and hugged. I have beautiful sleek and shiny black fur with brilliant white markings. I'm always ready for company and looking for a friendly pat on the head. If I am lucky enough to be adopted I will be the happiest kitty around!

FELINE LEUKEMIA POSITIVE
Kitties that have the FeLV virus which causes Feline Leukemia are just as sweet and loving as non-infected kitties. They may require some extra care on occasion but other than that they can live a relatively normal, but shortened, life. This is an incurable disease and there is no way to predict how long an infected kitty will live. Some kitties live years. FeLV is not transmissable to humans or other animal species not in the cat family. For more infomation go to www.animalrescueandcare.org.

I was found out there on my own on a rainy night. I'm very young, kind of scared but very loving. I'm in need of a home and someone who will love me and help me to stay healthy for as long as I can. I'm a cute little guy with a lot of love to give. Please help me . I don't want to spend my life without a home.

Calla-Lilly

Dear Diary,I have a problem. I have tested positive for Feline Leukemia. I'm very healthy and feel fine but apparently I will not live as long as I might without Leukemia. Everyone knows that I am friendly and loving and very playful. I love to be held and petted and kissed and hugged and am happy to return all of those. Diary, do you think someone will adopt me knowing how sweet I am but that I have Leukemia? I hope so. My biggest fear is not the disease but the chance that I will never experience the joy of a home.
